Abstract

This study aims to produce learning media in the form of comics that are suitable for use on the theme of the beauty of the diversity of my country in the fourth grade of elementary school 028071 from this media to have an impact on better student learning outcomes, especially on the beautiful material of the diversity of my country. This research is a development research using the ADDIE (1990) development model which consists of 1) analysis, 2) design, 3) development 4) implementation 5) evaluation. The instrument used in the study was the feasibility validation sheet covering aspects of content / material, language and presentation / design of comics, as well as learning outcomes tests. The first trial was conducted on 20 students of class IV-a and the second trial was conducted on 25 students of class IV-b at SDN 028071 Binjai Selatan. The results of this study indicate that: (1) the learning comic media developed are appropriate for use; and (2) learning comic media on the theme of the beauty of my country's diversity has been effective, seen from the students' learning completeness achievement. Furthermore, it is suggested that teachers can use learning comic media as an alternative to learning to improve student learning outcomes.
