ANALYSIS OF THE CONTENT FEASIBILITY ON ANIMAL TISSUE TOPIC OF HIGH SCHOOL BIOLOGY TEXTBOOK WITH BASIC COMPETENCE CURRICULUM 2013 GRADE XI IN TEBING TINGGI ACADEMIC YEAR 2018/2019

This research was aimed to determine the level of feasibility of the completeness, breadth and depth aspect between biology textbook that most used in senior high school Tebing Tinggi with Basic Competence. The biology textbook most used in senior high school Tebing Tinggi from Erlangga and Grafindo publisher. The research type was descriptive. The data was qualitative which explained in form percentage (%). The population was all all high school biology textbook grade XI curriculum 2013 in Tebing Tinggi. The books sample was taken by total sampling technique. The data got by using instrument from Badan Standard Nasional Pendidikan (BSNP). The result showed that book published by Erlangga got score 4 (100%) and Grafindo Publisher got score 3 (57%) for completeness aspect. Book published by Erlangga got 4 (88.8%) score and Grafindo publisher got 3 (72.2%) score for the breadth aspect. The depth aspect, books published by Erlangga got score 4 (89.1%) and Grafindo got 3 score (53.2%). Eventhough the book published by Erlangga got score higher than book published by Grafindo, the concept clearity is very understandable in book published by Erlangga. Grafindo’s book did not explain the concept of organ system, stem cell, and case clearly, but book published by Erlangga did.
