Abstract

This research has been done in SMAN 1 Berastagi that have purpose to know the effect of students’ science process skills on inquiry training learning model about momentum and impulse topic in class X SMAN 1 Berastagi academic year 2018/2019. The type of this research is quasi-experiment design using pre-test and post-test. The population is all students of class X MIPA in SMAN 1 Berastagi which consist of 7 classes, the samples of this research are two classes, first class is X MIPA 4 as experiment class that consist of 33 students and second class is X MIPA 5 as control class that consist of 33 students. The instrument of this research is essay test as much as six questions. Based on this research the average of pre-test in experiment class is 33.55 and in control class is 32.67, and then the average of post-test in experiment class is 44.24 and in control class is 40.64. This research was concluded that there was effect of inquiry training learning model on students’ science process skills.
