Developing Descriptive Reading Material Through Web-Based Learning At SMA Swasta Prayatna Medan

This study aims to develop descriptive reading material through Web-Based learning SMA Swasta Prayatna Medan. This study was conducted by using Research and Development (R&D). The subject of this research was students in grade X in SMA Swasta Prayatna Medan. The instruments for collecting data were interview and questionnaire. The data were gathered by administering interview to the English teacher and distributing questionnaire to the tenth grade students. The interview results prove that the teacher and questionnaire results prove that the students need Web-based Learning. The develop descriptive reading material through Web-Based learning that consists of nine pages, such as preface, profil, home, start up, your focus, your activity, grammar review, glossary and references. The descriptive reading material through web-based learning validated by experts. The average score are 3,40 from English teacher and 4,20 English lecturer. It means the developed descriptive reading material through web-based learning at SMA Swasta Prayatna Medan it was categorized “Strongly Agree”.
