Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi Momentum dan Impuls di kelas X semester II SMA Negeri 7 Medan T.P. 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian two group pre-test dan post-test. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 7 Medan yang terdiri dari 9 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara simple random sampling yaitu kelas X MIA 3 sebagai kelas eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah berjumlah 33 orang dan kelas X MIA 5 sebagai kelas kontrol yang diberi perlakuan pembelajaran konvensional berjumlah 33 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan berbentuk essai test sebanyak 7 soal yang telah divalidasi. Hasil nilai rata-rata pre-test kelas eksperimen 14,24 dan kelas kontrol 15,27. Kedua sampel berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Berdasarkan analisis uji kesamaan rata-rata pre-test (uji t) diperoleh thitung<ttabel, hal ini menyatakan kemampuan awal kedua sampel sama. Setelah dilakukan perlakuan yang berbeda dilakukan post-test, hasil nilai rata-rata kelas eksperimen 72,73 dan kelas kontrol 62,82. Berdasarkan analisis uji kesamaan rata-rata post-test (uji t) diperoleh thitung>ttabel, hal ini menyatakan ada pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi Momentum dan Impuls kelas X Semester II SMA Negeri 7 Medan T.P. 2018/2019.
