Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran inquiry training terhadap hasil belajar siswa, serta untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa selama penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry training pada materi pokok Listrik Dinamis di kelas X Semester II SMA Swasta Methodist-AN Pancurbatu Tahun Pelajaran 2018/2019. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Swasta Methodist-AN Pancurbatu yang terdiri dari 3 kelas paralel. Sampel penelitian ini ada 2 kelas yaitu kelas X1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X2 sebagai kelas kontrol yang masing- masing terdiri dari 40 orang siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara Cluster Random Sampling. Alat pengumpul data dalam penelitian ini adalah tes pilihan berganda. Sebelum tes pilihan berganda diberikan kepada siswa yang hendak diteliti terlebih dahulu tes divalidkan oleh dua orang dosen. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t satu pihak. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretes kelas eksperimen 33,88 dan kelas kontrol 33,38, kemudian setelah dilakukan perlakuan yang berbeda yaitu model pembelajaran inquiry training pada kelas eksperimen dan model pembelajaran konvensional pada kelas kontrol maka diperoleh nilai rata-rata postes kelas eksperimen adalah 71,88 dan kelas kontrol 67,00. Dari hasil uji t diperoleh thitung 2,00 sedangkan ttabel = 1,66 karena thitung > ttabel maka dapat disimpulkan ada pengaruh model pembelajaran inquiry training terhadap hasil belajar fisika siswa pada materi pokok listrik dinamis di kelas x smester II SMA Swasta Methodist-AN Pancurbatu. Dan aktivitas rataan siswa dalam tiga kali pertemuan, yaitu 55,09%, 66,31%, dan 79,81%. Dari data yang diperoleh maka ada pengaruh model pembelajaran inquiry training dalam meningkakan aktivitas belajar pada materi pokok listrik dinamis di kelas x smester II SMA Swasta Methodist-AN Pancurbatu Medan.
