Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) menghasilkan media video praktikum IPA
berbasis saintifik yang layak digunakan, 2) menghasilkan media video praktikum
IPA berbasis pendekatan saintifik yang praktis untuk digunakan, 3) mengetahui
efektifitas media video praktikum IPA berbaisis pendekatan saintifik untuk
meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dalam topik klasifikasi zat dan perubahannya.
Model pengembangan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan
Borg & Gall yang diadaptasi menjadi model yang sederhana. Penelitian ini
dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri Satu Atap 4 Barusjahe. Subjek dari penelitian ini
merupakan 33 orang siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri Satu Atap 4 Barusjahe yang
menggunakan media video praktikum IPA berbasis pendekatan saintifik. Hasil
penelitian menunjukkan (1) validasi ahli materi 4,43 dengan kategori sangat layak
(2) Validasi ahli media 4,36 dengan kategori sangat layak (3) uji kelompok kecil
4,11 dengan kategori praktis, (4) uji coba lapangan 4,63 dengan kategori sangat
praktis, (5) respon siswa siswa terhadap media video praktikum IPA baik.
Keefektifan media video praktikum IPA dilihat dari Hasil belajar mencapai 76,22
dengan persentase Gain score mencapai 0,58 dengan kategori sedang. Video
praktikum IPA berbasis pendekatan saintifik topik klasifikasi zat dan
perubahannya layak, paktis, dan efektif untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran.
