Abstract

In formal education, educators and students are required to be more creative in order to achieve the expected educational goals. By using good and appropriate learning media can help the learning process. Studying tissue culture in high school, there are difficulties in teaching materials if not followed by practice because of the limited availability of tissue culture laboratories. Therefore, multimedia learning is needed. This study aims to develop interactive learning multimedia using Microsoft Office Power Point on tissue culture material. This research was conducted from April to September 2018, with the development model of Borg & Gall. This study consisted of several stages: (1) analysis of multimedia learning needed, (2) creating a grid of multimedia feasibility instruments, (3) creating multimedia feasibility assessment instruments, (4) creating initial media product, (5) expert validation, (6) revision, and (7) product. The result showed that the validity of multimedia learning from validation team, product is feasible. The assessment results from the content expert showed an average of 96,20% (very feasible). The assessment from multimedia construction expert showed an average of 83,06% (very feasible). From these results it can be concluded that the research product development of interactive learning multimedia is feasible to be used as a source of learning for students of class XI science in high school.
