Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian adalah hasil belajar Bahasa Inggris siswa kelas IV yang belum maksimal, hal tersebut terlihat pada penggunaan media pembelajaran yang kurang mendukung keaktifan siswa, rendahnya hasil belajar siswa, serta pembelajaran bahasa inggris yang masih terpusat pada guru dan tidak melibatkan siswa dalam kegiatan belajar-mengajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan Media pembelajaran Flashcards dan Ular tangga. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis penelitian Comparatif dengan menggunakan desain penelitian quasi eksperimen. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SD Negeri 132416 Tanjung Balai Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018. Adapun populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 132416 yang berjumlah 60 siswa, yang terbagi atas 30 siswa kelas IV-A dan 30 siswa kelas IV-B. Sampel dalam penelitian ini yaitu kelas IV-A sebagai kelas eksperimen 1 (X1) dan kelas IV-B sebagai kelas eksperimen 2 (X2). Uji instrument dengan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Pada uji validitas didapat 25 soal valid dan 10 soal tidak valid. Uji reliabilitas dengan K-R 30 didapat rhitung>rtabel (0,76>0,361), maka instrument reliable. Uji Normalitas menggunakan uji liliefors. Pada hasil belajar pretest untuk kelas ekperimen 1 didapat Lhitung< Ltabel (0,159<0,161), sedangkan kelas eksperimen 2 Lhitung< Ltabel (0,116<0,161). Dan pada hasil post tes kelas eksperimen 1 Lhitung< Ltabel (0,157<0,161), sedangkan pada kelas eksperimen 2 Lhitung< Ltabel (0,142<0,161). Maka dapat disimpulkan data terdistribusi dengan normal. Uji Homogenitas menggunakan Uji Fisher, pada hasil belajar pretest diperoleh Fhitung< Ftabel (1,04<1,86), dan hasil posttest diperoleh Fhitung< Ftabel (1,38<1,86), dapat disimpulkan bahwa sampel kedua data tersebut berasal dari populasi yang homogen. Rata-rata skor kelas eksperimen 1 didapat 69,66 dan rata-rata skor kelas eksperimen 2 sebesar 63,06. Pengujian hipotesis menggunakan uji-t, didapat thitung> ttabel (6,63 >2,00), dengan taraf signifikan α=0,05. Hal ini berarti Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga hasil penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris dengan menggunakan media pembelajaran Flashcards dan Ular tangga.
