Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah kurangnya minat belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika karna bagi siswa matematika itu menakutkan dan membosankan, kemampuan siswa untuk memahami sifat perkalian rendah karena malas mempelajarinya, penggunaan model saat mengajar kurang variatif karena guru kurang memahami penerapan model pembelajaran, siswa juga tidak dilibatkan secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran namun hanya berpusat pada guru, dan rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Matematika karna matematika kurang menyenangkan bagi siswa dan malas mempelajarinya. Untuk itu perlu diterapkan model pembelajaran yang dapat membangkitkan semangat siswa untuk belajar matematika dan yang melibatkan siswa secara aktif dalam proses pembelajaran serta hasil belajar siswa dapat meningkat. Dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW) pada materi penggunaan sifat komutatif, assosiatif, dan distributif pada perkalian di kelas V SD Negeri 106811 Bandar Setia Tahun Ajaran 2017/2018 diharapkan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SD Negeri 106811 Bandar Setia yang berjumlah 34 orang yang terdiri dari 19 siswa laki-laki dan 15 siswa perempuan. Objek penelitian ini adalah model pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW). Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan tes berupa soal pilihan ganda dan menggunakan lembar observasi untuk guru dan siswa. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dengan dua siklus, yakni siklus I dan siklus II. Berdasarkan analisis data, hasil pre test menunjukkan seluruh siswa berjumlah 34 orang tidak tuntas dengan kata lain tidak ada siswa yang tuntas, maka ketuntasan secara klasikal 0 %. Setelah pelaksanaan siklus I dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW), hasil yang diperoleh siswa setelah melaksanakan post test I adalah terdapat 11 siswa (32,3 %) yang tuntas dan 23 siswa (67,6 %) yang tidak tuntas, dengan rata-rata nilai 55,9. Hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan, namun tingkat keberhasilan atau ketuntasan klasikal masih rendah. Untuk itu harus ditindaklanjuti dengan melaksanakan siklus II. Setelah melaksanakan post test siklus II diperoleh hasil belajar siswa yang tuntas sebanyak 29 siswa (85,3 %) dan siswa yang tidak tuntas sebanyak 5 siswa (14,7 %), dengan rata-rata nilai sebesar 77,2. Dengan rata-rata nilai yang mengalami peningkatan dan juga tingkat keberhasilan belajar atau ketuntasan klasikal ada dalam kriteria sangat tinggi, dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran Think Talk Write (TTW) dapat membantu meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran Matematika materi pokok penggunaan sifat komutatif, assosiatif, dan distributif pada perkalian di kelas V SD Negeri 106811 Bandar Setia.
