Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahuti: (1) hasil belajar biologi antara siswayang diajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan strategi pembelajaranekspositori, (2) hasil belajar biologi siswa dengan gaya berpikir deduktif dan gayaberpikir induktif, (3) ada tidaknya interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan gayaberpikir terhadap hasil belajar biologi.Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 18 Medan,sebanyak 4 kelas dengan jumlah siswa 136 orang. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengancluster random sampling. Sampel penelitian terdiri dari 36 siswa untuk strategipembelajaran berbasis masalah dan 34 siswa untuk strategi pembelajaran ekspositori.Instrumen pengukuran untuk mengukur hash belajar digunakan tes berbentuk pilihanberganda dengan 5 pilihan jawaban terdiri dari 35 butir soal. Untuk menyaring data gayaberpikir siswa dilaku melalui uji angket yang telah di uji kevalitannya dilakukan pada 35siswa terdapat 24 angket yang dinyatakan sahih digunakan dalam penelitian. Untukmenganalisis tes hasil belajar biologi digunakan rumus Itylerasi point biserial, sedangkananalisis angket gaya berpikir digunakan product moment. Metode penelitianmenggunakan metode eksperitnen dengan desain penelitian faktorial 2x2. Teknik analisisdata menggunakan ANAVA dua jalur pada tare signifikan a = 0,05. Syarat ANAVAadalah data harus berdistribusi normal dan data harus memiliki varians homogen.Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa: (1) hasil belajar biologi siswa yangdiajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah lebih tinggi dari hasil belajarsiswa yang diajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori Fhitung = 8,60 > Ftabel3,98, (2) hasil belajar siswa dengan gaya berpikir deduktif lebih tinggi daripada hasilbelajar siswa dengan gaya berpikri induktif Fhitung = 65,81 > Ftabel = 3,98, (3) terdapatinteraksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan gaya berpikir terhadap hasil belajar biologidengan Fhitung= 66,97 > Ftabel = 3,98.Dari hasil analisis data disimpulkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran yang tepat digunakan untuk siswa yang memiliki gaya berpikir deduktif adalah strategi pembelajaran berbasis masalah dan strategi pembelajaran yang tepat digunakan untuk siswa yang memiliki gaya berpikir induktif adalah ekspositori. Impilikasi dari penelitian ini secara khusus menunjukkan penerapan strategi pembelajaran masalah lebih efektif dalam meningatkan hasil belajar biologi siswa.
