Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS dikelas IV. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPS dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Inside-Outside Circle (IOC) Penelitian ini menggunakan desain PTK (penelitian Tindakan Kelas). Subjek dalam penelitian siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 101797 Deli Tua tahun ajaran 2017/2018 yang berjumlah 24 orang siswa terdiri dari 11 orang siswa laki-laki dan 13 orang siswa perempuan. Pelaksanaan tindakan dilakukan selama 2 siklus dimana setiap siklus dua kali pertemuan. Jadi, dalam 2 siklus ada 4 kali pertemuan. Dalam setiap siklus dilakukan 4 tahap yaitu perencanaan, tindakan, observasi dan refleksi. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian yaitu tes hasil belajar siswa dan lembar observasi. Berdasarkan hasil pretest (tes awal) yang berjumlah 24 orang siswa masih banyak siswa yang memiliki hasil belajar dibawah KKM yaitu dibawah 63. Dari 24 orang siswa terdapat 5 orang siswa yang tuntas dengan persentase 20,8% dan 19 orang siswa yang tidak tuntas dengan persentase 79,2% dengan nilai rata-rata 47,3 sehingga secara individual maupun secara klasikal kemampuan awal (pretest) siswa masih tergolong rendah. Dari perolehan hasil pretest tersebut peneliti menindaklanjuti dan melanjutkan ke post test pada siklus I. Dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran inside outside circle (IOC) pada siklus I nilai siswa mulai meningkat. Dari 24 orang siswa terdapat 13 orang siswa yang tuntas dengan persentase 54% dan 11 orang siswa tidak tuntas dengan persentase 46% dengan nilai rata-rata 69. Namun berdasarkan kriteria penentuan tingkat keberhasilan dapat diketahui bahwa hasil belajar siswa pada siklus I berdasarkan tingkat keberhasilan secara klasikal masih tergolong belum berhasil sehingga peneliti melanjutkan ke post test pada siklus II. Pada post test siklus II dari 24 orang siswa terdapat 22 orang siswa yang tuntas dengan persentase 91,7% dan 2 orang siswa yang tidak tuntas dengan persentase 8,3% dengan nilai rata-rata 79,8. Dari perolehan hasil analisis data diatas dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran Inside-Outside Circle (IOC) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi koperasi dan kesejahteraan rakyat pada mata pelajaran IPS Di Kelas IV SD Negeri 101797 Deli Tua tahun ajaran 2017/2018.
