Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : (1) Mengetahui Perbedaan hasil belajarbahasa Inggris antara siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatiftipe Jigsaw dan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa yang diajar dengan modelpembelajaran ekspositori, (2) mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar bahasa Inggrisantara siswa yang memiliki tipe kepribadian ekstrovert dengan yang memiliki tipekepribadian introvert, (3) mengetahui interaksi antara model pembelajaran dantipe kepribadian terhadap hasil belajar bahasaPenelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitianini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 2 Kutalimbaru Kabupaten DeliSerdang TP 2010/2011, berjumlah 108 orang yang berasal dari 3 kelas paralel.Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan cluster random sampling. Jumlahsampel dalam penelitian untuk model pembelajaran Kooperatif tipe Jigsaw terdiridari 36 siswa dan 35 siswa untuk model pembelajaran ekspositori. Teknik analisisdata yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah statistik deskriptif untukmenyajikan data dan statistik inferensial untuk menguji hipotesispenelitian.Hipotesis penelitian diuji dengan menggunakan ANAVA dua jalurpada taraf signifikansi a = 0,05, uji normalitas dengan uji Lilliefors danhomogenitas varians dengan uji Barlett dan Uji Fisher.Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukkan bahwa : (1) skor hasil belajarbahasa Inggris siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipeJigsaw (X = 29,08), lebih tinggi dari pada skor hasil belajar siswa yang diajardengan model pembelajaran ekspositori ( X= 26,51). (2) Sklar hasil belajar bahasaInggris siswa yang memiliki tipe kepribadian ekstrovert (7= 28,97) lebih tinggidaripada skor hasil belajar siswa yang memiliki tipe kepribadianintrovert (1= 26,69). (3) Terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajarandan tipe kepribadian terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Inggris.Diharapkan kepada Para guru bahasa Inggris agar memperhatikan danmempertimbangkan faktor tipe kepribadian siswa sebagai landasan dalammerancang pembelajaran. Semoga hasil penelitian ini dapat bermanfaat untukmeningkatkan mutu proses pembelajaran.
