Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) perbedaan hasil belajar bahasa Jepang siswa dengan strategi pembelajaran Kontekstual atau Contextual Teaching Learning (CTL) dan strategi pembelajaran Ekspositori (2) perbedaan hasil belajar bahasa Jepang siswa yang memiliki motivasi lebih tinggi dengan siswa yang memiliki motivasi rendah (3) interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan motivasi belajar bahasa Jepang siswa terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Jepang siswa. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen semu dengan design faktorial 2x2. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA N 1 Medan yang berjumlah 79 orang pada semester genap tahun 2017/2018. Instrumen pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes hasil belajar bahasa Jepang pilihan berganda dan instrument angket The Attitude/Motivation Test Battery (AMTB) oleh Gardner untuk mengukur motivasi belajar bahasa Jepang siswa. Dari data yang diperoleh setelah dilakukan penelitian, hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar bahasa Jepang siswa yang diajar dengan strategi CTL dan pembelajaran Ekspositori, dimana Fhitung (4,32) > Ftabel (4,1). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi CTL lebih tinggi dari strategi ekspositori; (2) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar bahasa Jepang siswa yang memiliki motivasi belajar bahasa Jepang tinggi dengan motivasi belajar bahasa Jepang rendah, dimana Fhitung (78,13) > Ftabel (4,1); (3) terdapat interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dengan motivasi belajar bahasa Jepang terhadap hasil belajar bahasa Jepang siswa kelas XI SMA N 1 Medan, dimana Fhitung (4,8) > Ftabel (4,1). Kegiatan pembelajaran CTL mendorong siswa untuk mengkonstruk pengetahuan yang didapatnya, mengkonfirmasi dengan kehidupan sehari-hari dan dapat memodelkan pengetahuan yang telah diterimanya, sehingga mendorong siswa untuk lebih aktif, kreatif dan kritis. Siswa dengan motivasi belajar lebih tinggi,memiliki pandangan positif terhadap pembelajaran bahasa Jepang, sehingga hasil belajarnya juga lebih tinggi dari pada siswa dengan motivasi belajar lebih rendah
