Abstract
Penelitian adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan jumlah subyek penelitian ini adalah 40 orang siswa kelas II SD Negeri 060857 Medan, dengan jumlah siswa laki-laki 22 orang sisiwa dan 18 siswa perempuan dan penelitian ini terdiri dari 2 siklus 4 pertemuan yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi dan tehnik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah tes dan observasi. Hasil observasi awal yang dilkakukan peneliti dikelas II SD Negeri 060857 Medan yang dilakukan terhadap 40 orang siswa terdapat 28 orang sisiwa yang kurang mampu dalam penguasaan kemampuan membaca permulaan dengan persentase (56,52%) , dan 10 orang siswa yang mampu dalam penguasaan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa dengan persentase (56,52%) dengan nilai rat-rata 38. Pada siklus I pertemuan I dengan menggunakan metode Quantum Learning terdapat 17 orang siswa yang mampu dengan persentase (23,3%), dan 23 orang siswa belum mampu dengan persentase (76,6%) dan nilai rata-rata 59. Selanjutnya pada siklus I pertemuan II, terdapat 17 orang siswa yang mampu dengan persentase (76,6%) dan nilai rata-rata 55%. Kemudian pada siklus II pertemuan I dengan menggunakan Quantum Learning terdapat 12 orang siswa yang mampu dengan persentase (33,3%), dan 20 orang siswa yang belum mampu dengan persentase (66,6%) dengan nilai rata-rata (6,26%). Selanjutnya pada siklus II pertemuan II terdapat 36 orang siswa dangan persentase (96,6%) dan 4 orang siswa yang belum mampu dengan persentase (3,33%) dengan nilai rata-rata 80. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan Upaya meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan dengan menggunakan metode Quantum Learning pada mata pelajaran bahasa indonesia Siswa kelas II SD Negeri 060857 Medan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa kelas II di SD.
