Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of school prison models in fostering students with problems to look student reactions while in a school prison, and to know how behavior changes. The method of the qualitative research case study with data collected through observation, interview, and document study. The data analysis was by reducing observation data, interview, and result of a document study order that tested it was the technique of data through validity ,credibility, confirmability, dependability, and triangulation. The location of the research was Yayasan
Pendidikan Mulia Medan. From the data analysis, it was found the model of imprisonment implementation of schools that can improve or educate students Problematic non-compliance with school rules at Yayasan Pendidikan Mulia Medan. The Research showed that a good behavioral change was evident from the declining number of problem students from 443 students in the School Year 2014-2015 to 46 students in the School Year 2016- 2017. From this study it can be concluded that the model imprisonment of schools to contribute in improving the behavior of troubled students and it was advisable to other educational institutions to apply the model of school prison for troubled students as a form of final, educational and humane alternative punishment in their respective institutions with regard to psychological, humanitarian, security and health aspects.
