Abstract

Penelitian yang dilakukan di MAN 2 Model Medan ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model pembelajaran Jigsaw dan STAD. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPA MAN 2 Model Medan yaitu sebanyak 10 kelas. Sampel penelitian diambil dua kelas yang ditentukan dengan teknik cluster random sampling, yaitu Kelas Eksperimen I (XI IPA 5) dan Kelas Eksperimen II (XI IPA 4) masing-masing sebanyak 40 siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah tes dalam bentuk objektif tes, yaitu sebanyak 25 soal yang masing-masing telah dinyatakan valid dan reliabel. Sebelum pengujian hipótesis terlebih dahulu diuji normalitas dan homogenitas tes. Dari pengujian yang dilakukan diperoleh bahwa kedua sampel berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar siswa yang diajar rmenggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif STAD dengan hasil pengujian hipotesis diperoleh thitung> ttabel yaitu 2,009>1,985 pada taraf . Hasil belajar siswa kelas Eksperimen I diperoleh rata-rata postes sebesar 90,60. Sedangkan hasil belajar siswa kelas Eksperimen II rata-rata postes sebesar 87,51. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai postes siswa mencapai KKM.
