EFFECT OF NUMBER OF EXPORT VALUE, IMPORT ANDECONOMIC GROWTH ON EXCHANGE RATE ANDPOWER BUY THE COMMUNITY IN SUMATERA UTARA (STUDY AT BANK INDONESIA PERIOD OF 2006 – 2016)

This study was conducted to determine the effect of several independent variables such as exports, imports and economic growth on the dependent variable, namely the exchange rate and the purchasing power. This study is explanatory research with quantitative approach. The data used in this research is quarterly time series data during of 2006-2016 obtained from the official website of Bank Indonesia and the Central Bureau of Statistics. The sampling method is the saturated sample of 36 samples. Analysis of the data in this study using multiple linear regression analysis using EVIEWS. Simultaneous test results show that exports, imports, and economic growth has a significant influence on exchange rates and purchasing power. Partial test results indicate that the export variables have an significant influence on the exchange rate, while exports and imports variable had a significant influence on the purchasing power.
