Abstract
Previous studies were focused more on the impact of macro-policy on food security, but in this study the researcher wishes to give an illustration instead on the latest condition as well as the interrelation between food security and macro economy in Indonesia, then giving a recommendation on the policy needed so the approach taken is bottom up nature. From study results it is obtained the width of area, budget of agricultural sector, food importation, food price and food consumption which give a positive impact on food security. As for import tariff, population and food expenses give a negative impact on food security in Indonesia. Anomaly occurs when food price gives a positive impact on food security instead.Poverty in Indonesia is affected by Inflation, food consumption, food expenses, population, Width of agricultural area, income per capita, food affordability, food stability and budget of agricultural sector. From the above study it can be recommended that macro-economy policy that could affect food security is the increase of budget in agricultural sector.
