Abstract

This research aims to know about the growth in regional and building imbalance. The research’objects are all of districts and cities in North Sumatera, there are twenty seven districts and six cities. This research uses secondary data from Central Bureau of Statistics in 2012-2016. This analysis uses Gross Regional Domestic of Product Percapita by Regency at 2010 constant prices. In this research uses Tipology Klassen’s analysis to know classification of economy growth and Williamson’s Index to know about the building imbalance. The research’s result explains thast first,there are five “fast forward and growing”; two “forward and depressed”; fiveteen “growing fast”; eleven “left relatively” from 33 districts/cities. Medan city is one from call city “fast forward and growing” that has Gross Regional Domestic Product percapita 56362698,91 (rupiah) and the economic growth 6,03 percent . Second base on Williamson’s Index, there is no numbers of IW near to 0. So, can be conclusion the economy growth between districts and cities in North Sumatera is equally.
