Abstract

The relation of competency and self concept teacher loward sertificate programme by goverment explained in this researchreport. Research cinducted for teacher in Deli Serdang which teaching at 20 high senior school with 33 respondent. This instrument consict of questioaire abaout competency (28 item), self concept (26 item), and sertification (20 item).Teacher perception related competency and self concept toward sertification accesed through angket likert scale. Research data analyzed and regresion. The result of this research show that there is positive effect and significant between competency and self toward passing grade of chemistry teacher sertification in Deli serdang district with Fhitung ˂F tabel( 3,20˂3,32). Contribution of competency and self concept toward achievement of teacher sertification is 30,25% and 10,89%. From the data can be concluded that district Goverment must be given atention and advice about competency and self concept toward teacher espesially chemistry teacher. The next research can be implemented in more widely district and another subject matter teacher accurately.
