Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis: (1) Hasil belajar PKn siswa kelas model PBM Tipe Probing-Prompting lebih tinggi daripada kelas model PBM Tipe Problem Posing pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Medan, (2) Perbedaan antara hasil belajar PKn peserta didik yang memiliki kemandirian belajar tinggi daripada yang memiliki kemandirian belajar rendah terhadap hasil belajar PKn pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Medan, (3) interaksi antara model PBM dan kemandirian terhadap hasil belajar PKn pada siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Medan. Populasi penelitian ini adalah sebagian besar siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 5 Medan yang mendapatkan pelajaran PKn dari peneliti antara lain: X IPA 1 – X IPA 8, dan X IPS 1 - X IPS 3 yang berjumlah 473 siswa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan acak (cluster random sampling) melalui undian. Penarikan undian pertama dilakukan untuk menentukan kelas yang menggunakan model Probing Promting kelas X IPA 3 dengan jumlah 41 siswa. Penarikan kedua dilakukan untuk menentukan kelas yang akan menggunakan model Problem Posing kelas X IPA 6 dengan jumlah 42 siswa. Metode Penelitian adalah quasi eksperimen dengan rancangan desain faktorial. Teknik analisa data adalah ANAVA 2 jalur. Temuan penelitiian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Hasil belajar PKN siswa yang diajar dengan model PBM tipe Probing-Promting lebih tinggi dibanding dengan siswa yang diajar dengan model PBM tipe Problem Posing, (2) Hasil belajar PKN siswa yang memiliki Kemandirian Tinggi lebih tinggi dari pada hasil belajar siswa yang memiliki Kemandirian Rendah, (3) Terdapat interaksi antara model PBM dan Kemandirian dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan (PKN). Hasil uji lanjut dengan scheffe menunjukkan terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model PBM tipe Probing Prompting memiliki hasil belajar yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model PBM tipe Problem Posing dan hasil belajar PKN siswa yang memiliki Kemandirian Tinggi lebih tinggi daripada hasil belajar PKN siswa yang memiliki Kemandirian Rendah.
