Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan (1) Hasil belajar IPA siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri dibandingkan dengan hasil belajar IPA siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran diskoveri, (2) Perbedaan hasil belajar IPA siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar visual dengan kinestetik, (3) Interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan gaya belajar terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SD NEGERI 064025 Medan yang berjumlah 122 orang dari 3 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cluster random sampling berjumlah 82 sampel yang terdiri dari 40 sampel kelas IV C diajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri sebagai kelas eksperimen dan 42 sampel kelas IV B yang diajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran diskoveri sebagai kelas kontrol. Tes hasil belajar IPA yang digunakan sebanyak 40 butir soal dengan 4 pilihan jawaban yang diberikan kepada siswa kelas V B. Angket gaya belajar dilakukan untuk mengelompokkan siswa yang mempunyai gaya belajar visual dan kinestetik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain faktorial 2 x 2. Uji statistik yang dilakukan adalah statistik deskriptif untuk menyajikan data dan dilanjutkan dengan statistik inferensial dengan menggunakan ANAVA dua jalur dengan taraf signifikan α = 0.05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Hasil belajar IPA siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri lebih tinggi daripada hasil belajar IPA siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi diskoveri, dengan Fhitung = 4,22 > Ftabel = 3,96; (2) Hasil belajar IPA siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar kinestetik lebih tinggi dari pada hasil belajar IPA siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar visual, dengan Fhitung = 23,48 > Ftabel = 3,96; (3) terdapat interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dengan gaya belajar siswa dalam mempengaruhi hasil belajar siswa, dengan Fhitung = 743,12 > Ftabel = 3,96. Uji perhitungan lanjutan dilakukan dengan uji Scheffe yang menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan dari hasil belajar IPA siswa antara siswa yang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran inkuiri dan strategi pembelajaran diskoveri. Hipotesis ini menunjukkan bahwa strategi pembelajaran inkuri lebih tepat daripada strategi pembelajaran diskoveri dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa, dan siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar kinestetik akan memperoleh hasil yang lebih baik daripada siswa yang memiliki gaya belajar visual.
