Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: 1) efektivitas proses pembelajaran dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran model PBM, meliputi: (a) pencapaian tujuan belajar siswa dilihat dari kemampuan pemecahan masalah, (b) kadar aktivitas siswa selama proses pembelajaran, (c) tingkat kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran, (d) respon siswa terhadap komponen pembelajaran; 2) peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa dengan menggunakan perangkat pembelajaran model PBM. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model Dick and Carey. Ujicoba I dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII-2 dan ujicoba II di kelas VIII-3 SMP Negeri 5 Stabat. Instrumen penelitian ini adalah lembar observasi aktivitas siswa, kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran, angket respon siswa serta tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan (Buku siswa dan LKS). Tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah sudah valid dengan thitung> tTabel dan derajat reabelitasnya sangat tinggi yaitu 0,829. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa: 1) perangkat yang dikembangkan telah memenuhi efektivitas proses pembelajaran, dimana: (a) persentase ketuntasan belajar siswa adalah 90,00% secara klasikal dari 30 orang siswa yang mengikuti tes dengan nilai minimal 2,67 (B-); (b) kadar aktivitas siswa telah memenuhi batas toleransi waktu ideal; (c) kemampuan guru pada ujicoba I sebesar 3,02 dan pada ujicoba II sebesar 3,8; (d) respon siswa terhadap proses pembelajaran sudah positif pada ujicoba I maupun ujicoba II; 2) terjadi peningkatan rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa pada postes ujicoba I yaitu 68,15 meningkat menjadi 85,19 pada ujicoba II
