Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah “ Rendahnya hasil belajar dan kemampuan komunikasi siswa pada mata pelajaran komunikasi bisnis”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar dan kemampuan komunikasi siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian quasi eksperimen. Popolasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI Pemasaran SMK Negeri 7 Medan yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. Pengambilan sempel dilakukan dengan teknik purposive sampling yaitu kelas XI PM – 1 berjumlah 33 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas XI PM – 2 berjumlah 35 siswa sebagai kelas kontrol. Instrument yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa adalah tes objek dalam bentuk pilihan ganda berjumlah 21 dan untuk mengetahui kemampuan komunikasi adalah angket berjumlah 22 pernyataan yang telah teruji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu uji normalitas dengan menggunakan uji Liliefors, uji homogenitas menggunakan uji F, menghitung uji hipotesis dengan uji t dengan kreteria diterima hipotesis apabila menunjukkan thitung > ttabel pada ɑ = 0,05. Hasil analisis data yang diperoleh untuk kelas eksperimen nilai rata – rata 72.270 dengan standar deviasi 12.1173, dan rata – rata kempuan komunikasi adalah 66.34 dengan standar deviasi 7.223. Dan kelas kontrol nilai rata – rata 65.829 dengan standar deviasi 13.5274, dan rata – rata kempuan komunikasi 63.17 dengan standar deviasi 4.508. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan menggunakan uji t dengan ɑ = 0,05. Hasil hipotesis hasil belajar menunjukkan bahwa thitung > ttabel yaitu 2.067 > 1.997 sehingga hipotesis Ha1 diterima dan H01 ditolak. Sedangkan hasil hipotesis kemampuan komunikasi menunjukkan bahwa thitung > ttabel yaitu 3.180 > 1.997 sehingga hipotesis Ha2 diterima dan H02 ditolak. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan hasil belajar dan kemampuan komunikasi dengan penggunaan model pembelajaran Think Pair Share pada Mata Pelajaran Komunikasi Bisnis Siswa Kelas XI Pemasaran di SMK Negeri 7 Medan T.A 2016/2017.
