Abstract

Tujuan. penelitian ini adalah (1) untuk mengetahui apakah hasil belajar siswa yangdiajar dengan strategi pembelajaran inquiri dan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori, (2)untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa fisika yang memiliki kemampuanawal tinggi dan kemampuan awal rendah, dan (3) untuk mengetahui apakah terdapatinteraksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal dalam mempengaruhihasil belajar Fisika siswa.Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian iniberjumlah 160 orang yang berasal dari 4 kelas siswa SMA Negeri I KecamatanBinjai. Sedangkan sampel berjumlah 80 orang yang diambil dari 2 kelas denganmenggunakan cluster random sampling. Sebelum perlakuan diberikan, terlebihdahulu diberikan tes kemampuan awal siswa untuk membedakan tinggi rendahnyataraf kemampuan awal siswa. Tes hasil belajar yang digunakan untuk mengujihipotesis penelitian terlebih dahulu diujicobakan untuk mengetahui tingkat validitasdan reliabilitas tes. Hasil yang diperoleh dari 45 soal yang diujicobakan ternyatasebanyak 37 soal yang memenuhi persyaratan (valid). Koefisien reliabilitas tes hasilbelajar siswa sebesar 0,995, dan koefisien reliabilitas kemampuan awal siswa sebesar0,741. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah statistikdeskriptif untuk menyajikan data dan statistik inferensial untuk menguji hipotesispenelitian. Hipotesis penelitian diuji dengan menggunakan Anava 2 jalur. Sebelumteknik analisis digunakan, terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji persyaratan analisis data yaituuji normalitas dengan uji Lilliefors dan uji homogenitas varians dengan uji Bartlettdan Uji Fisher.Hasil pengujian hipotesis menunjukka.n bahwa : (1) hasil belajar Fisika siswayang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran inquiri lebih tinggi dari pada siswayang dibelajarkan dengan strategi pembelajaran ekspositori. Hal ini ditunjukkan olehFhitung = 46,40 > Ftabel = 3,12 pada taraf signifikan α= 0,05, (2) siswa yang memilikikemampuan awal tinggi memperoleh basil belajar Fisika yang lebih tinggi daripadasiswa yang memiliki kemampuan awal rendah. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh Fhitung49,39 > Ftabel = 3,12 pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05, dan (3) terdapat interaksi antarastrategi pembelajaran dan kemampuan awal dalam mempengaruhi hasil belajar Fisikasiswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh Fhitung 19,29 > Ftabel =3,12 pada taraf signifikan α0,05 dengan dk = 1,76).Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar Fisika,ternyata strategi pembelajaran inquiri merupakan salah satu strategi pembelajaranyang tepat digunakan bagi siswa dengan kemampuan awal tinggi. Sedangkan siswayang memiliki kemampuan awal rendah lebih efektif dibelajarkan dengan strategipembelajaran ekspositori.
