Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) Perbedaan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match dengan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembalajaran langsung, (2) Perbedaan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa yang memiliki kepribadian ekstrovert dengan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris yang memiliki kepribadian introvert, (3) Interaksi antara model pembalajaran dan tipe kepribadian terhadap hasil belajar. Populasi penelitian adalah seluruh kelas VIII MTs Nurul Islam Indonesia, berjumlah 120 siswa yang berasal dari 3 kelas. Teknik penarikan sampel dilakukan dengan cluster random sampling. Jumlah sample penelitian untuk model kooperatif tipe make a match terdiri dari 40 siswa dan 40 siswa untuk model pembelajaran langsung. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan rancangan quasi eksperimen desain faktorial 2 x 2. Tipe kepribadian siswa diukur dengan tes angket dan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris diukur dengan tes lisan (interview) dengan kriteria penilaian dari pendapat ahli. Temuan penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match lebih tinggi dari pada hasil belajar bahasa Inggris yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembalajaran langsung. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan rata-rata hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe make a match = 78,73 dan rata-rata hasil belajar bahasa Inggris yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran langsung = 75,03 dengan Fhitung = 5,90 > Ftabel = 3,96 pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05. Siswa yang memiliki kepribadian ekstrovert memiliki hasil belajar yang lebih tinggi daripada siswa yang memiliki kepribadian introvert. Hal ini ditunjukkan dengan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar bahasa Inggris yang memiliki kepribadian ekstrovert = 79,98 dan nilai rata-rata hasil belajar bahasa Inggris yang memiliki kepribadian introvert = 72,42 dengan Fhitung = 23,65 > Ftabel = 3,96 pada taraf siginifikan α = 0,05,dengan dk (2) terdapat interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan tipe kepribadian dalam hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa. Hal ini ditunjukkan oleh Fhitung = 20,14 > Ftabel = 3,96 pada taraf siginifikan α = 0,05. Uji lanjut menggukan Uji Scheffe menunjukkan perbedaan hasil belajar bahasa Inggris siswa yang signifikan antara siswa yang diajar dengan model pembalajaran kooperatif tipe make a match dengan yang diajar pemberian model pembalajaran langsung. Demikian halnya hasil belajar bahasa Inggris yang memiliki kepribadian ekstrovert dengan siswa yang memiliki kepribadian introvert.
