Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Team Achievment Divisions (STAD) terhadap kemampuan mengidentifikasi unsur intrinsik hikayat “Si Miskin” siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 15 Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2014/2015. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian eksperimen semu atau quasi experimental research. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah two group post-test design yaitu model eksperimen yang melibatkan perlakuan berbeda terhadap dua kelas. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 15 Medan yang terdiri dari 10 kelas dengan jumlah siswa sebanyak 456 siswa. Berdasarkan jumlah populasi tersebut maka ditetapkan sampel sebanyak 80 siswa yang terdiri dari 40 siswa kelas eksperimen (variabel X) dan 40 siswa kelas kontrol (variabel Y). Pengambilan sampel ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan menggunakan teknik bertujuan atau purposive sampling. Instrumen atau alat pengumpul data yang digunakan adalah tes pilihan berganda. Berdasarkan hasil pengolahan data yang diperoleh, variabel X memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 87,375 dan standar deviasi sebesar 7,825 sedangkan variabel Y memperoleh rata-rata sebesar 79,5 dan standar deviasi sebsar 8,652. Berdasarkan uji normalitas data variabel eksperimen diperoleh Lhitung < Ltabel yaitu 0,1382 < 0,14 maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa data variabel X berdistribusi normal. Sedangkan uji normalitas yang dilakukan pada variabel kontrol diperoleh Lhitung < Ltabel yaitu 0,130 < 0,14 hal ini menunjukkan bahwa data variabel Y berdistribusi normal. Kemudian berdasarkan uji homogenitas variabel penelitian diperoleh nilai Fhitung < Ftabel pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 yaitu 1,213 < 1,705 , dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa sampel homogen. Setelah uji normalitas dan homogenitas dilakukan maka diperoleh to sebesar 4,278 setelah to diketahui, kemudian dikonsultasikan dengan ttabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% dengan dk = (n1+n2-2) = 40+40–2= 78, dari dk 78 diperoleh ttabel pada taraf signifikansi 5% = 1,993. karena to yang diperoleh lebih besar dari ttabel yaitu 4,278 > 1,993, maka hal ini menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis nihil (Ho) ditolak dan hipotesis alternatif (Ha) diterima. Berdasarkan analisis data di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Team Achievment Divisions (STAD) lebih berpengaruh daripada model pembelajaran ekspositori terhadap kemampuan mengidentifikasi unsur intrinsik hikayat “Si Miskin” siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 15 Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2014/2015.
