Abstract

Tutor Sebaya (Peer Teaching) merupakan salah satu metode dalam mengajar. Dalam pengaplikasian metode pembelajaran Tutor Sebaya (Peer Teaching), yang menjadi pengajar adalah sesama siswa, sehingga siswa akan lebih aktif dan pembelajaran tidak hanya terpusat pada guru. Metode pembelajaran tutor sebaya ini juga menitik beratkan pada sharing knowledge, sharing ideas dan sharing experience yang dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar IPA siswa. Dalam hal ini, peneliti menghubungkan antara pembelajaran dengan metode tutor sebaya (peer teaching) dengan hasil belajar IPA siswa di SD Negeri 108075 Delitua Barat T.A 2016/2017. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian eksperimen dengan menggunakan pendekatan yang kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IV SD Negeri 108075 Delitua Barat T.A 2016/2017 yang berjumlah 48 orang. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 48 orang. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengambilan sampel adalah total sampling yaitu pemilihan sampel dimana seluruh populasi dipilih sebagai sampel. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode tes. Perhitungan pengujian hipotesis selain dengan perhitungan manual, perhitungan pengujian hipotesis ini juga menggunakan bantuan program Microsoft Excel 2007. Teknik pengujian hipotesis dilkukan dengan menggunakan Uji t. Namun sebelum dilakukan uji hipotesis terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas untuk mengethui data berdistribusi normal atau tidak, dan uji homogenitas untuk menguji kesamaan varians dua kelompok data. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji prasyarat, pada uji normalitas data pree test dengan ketentuan Lhitung < Ltabel pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh hasil 0,1554 < 0,173 , dan pada kelas kontrol 0,1243 < 0,173 sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa kedua data tersebut berdistribusi normal. Sedangkan pada uji normalitas data post test dengan ketentuan yang sama Lhitung < Ltabel pada kelas eksperimen diperoleh hasil , 1270 < 0,173 dan pada kelas kontrol diperoleh hasil 0,1547 < 0,173 sehingga dapat dinyatakan bahwa kedua data tersebut berdistribusi normal. Pada uji homogenitas data pree test dengan ketentuan Fhitung < Ftabel diperoleh hasil 1,327 < 2,014 , dan uji homogenitas data post test dengan ketentuan yang sama Fhitung < Ftabel diperoleh hasil 1,327 < 2,014 sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa kedua kelompok data tersebut memiliki varians yang sama. Setelah dilakukan uji pra syarat selanjutnya dilakukan pengujian hipotesis dengan uji t, pengujian hipotesis (uji t) dengan taraf signifikan 5% diperoleh hasil yang menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran dengan menggunakan metode tutor sebaya (peer teaching) terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA kelas IV SD Negeri 108075 Delitua Barat T.A 2016/2017 dengan nilai signifikan thitung > ttabel = (4,871 > 1,994). Disarankan sebaiknya metode tutor sebaya tetap diberikan kepada siswa agar hasil belajar tercapai secara maksimal, dan pembelajaran dengan metode tutor sebaya juga harus tepat sasaran dan sesuai kondisi siswa sehingga metode tutor sebaya ini berjalan dengan efektif dan efisien.
