Abstract

Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Rendahnya tingkat pemahaman siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi Gaya dan Pengaruhnya, 2) Dalam proses pembelajaran, guru masih menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional; 3) Minimnya penggunaan media pembelajaran; 4) Rendahnya hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA materi Gaya dan Pengaruhnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Probing-Prompting terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran IPA di kelas V SDN 101775 Sampali tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain pretest-posttest control group design. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas V SDN 101775 Sampali yang berjumlah 54 orang dan seluruhnya dijadikan sampel dalam penelitian ini. Sampel terbagi dalam dua (2) kelas dengan perlakuan yang berbeda, yaitu kelas VA yang berjumlah 28 orang sebagai kelas kontrol dengan model konvensional dan kelas VB yang berjumlah 26 orang sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan model probing-prompting. Variabel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari variabel bebas yaitu model pembelajaran probingprompting dan variabel terikat yaitu hasil belajar siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah teknik tes. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah dengan menggunakan uji-t, yang sebelumnya sudah diketahui hasil uji normalitas dan homogenitasnya. Dari hasil perhitungan diperoleh nilai rata-rata pre-test kelas eksperimen = 66,54 dan kelas kontrol = 61,07. Selanjutnya nilai rata-rata post-test kelas eksperimen = 80 dan kelas kontrol = 68,04. Dari hasil perhitungan uji normalitas data pre-test dan post-test kelas eksperimen diperoleh nilai Lhitung = -0,0063 dan 0,0433 dengan derajat kebebasan 26 dan taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 diperoleh Ltabel = 0,174. Dengan demikian Lhitung > Ltabel, sehingga sampel berdistribusi normal. Selanjutnya hasil perhitungan uji normalitas data pre-test dan post-test kelas kontrol diperoleh nilai Lhitung = 0,0194 dan -0,0013 dengan derajat kebebasan 28 dan taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 diperoleh Ltabel = 0,167. Dengan demikian Lhitung > Ltabel, sehingga sampel berdistribusi normal. Hasil perhitungan uji homogenitas data pre-test kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol diperoleh Fhitung = 1,198 dan dari data post-test kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol diperoleh Fhitung = 1,695 dengan dkpembilang = 27 dan dkpenyebut = 25 diperoleh Ftabel = 1,939. Dengan demikian sampel berasal dari populasi yang homogen. Selanjutnya hasil perhitungan uji-t diperoleh thitung sebesar 3,208 dengan derajat kebebasan 52 dan taraf signifikansi α = 0,05 diperoleh ttabel sebesar 2,006. Dengan demikian thitung > ttabel (3,208 > 2,006), sehingga Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran probing-prompting terhadap hasil belajar IPA siswa kelas V SDN 101775 Sampali.
