Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui: (1) peningkatan kemampuan berfikir kreatif melalui pembelajaran PMR lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. (2) peningkatan kemandirian siswa melalui pembelajaran PMR lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional, dan (3) proses penyelesaian jawaban siswa melalui pembelajaran PMR. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kuasi eksperimen. Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kota Langsa yang berakreditasi B Instrument yang digunakan terdiri dari (1) tes kemampuan kemampuan befikir kreatif, dan (2) angket kemandirian belajar siswa. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis statistik deskriptif dengan persentase dan statistik inferensial menggunakan Anava dua jalur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat peningkatan kemampuan berfikir kreatif melalui pembelajaran PMR lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. (2) terdapat peningkatan kemandirian siswa melalui pembelajaran PMR lebih baik dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional, dan (3) proses penyelesaian jawaban siswa melalui pembelajaran PMR dengan menggunakan beragam metode.
