Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi karena masih terdapat sekitar 75% guru yang masih menggunakan metode pembelajaran konvensional yang berdampak pada hasil belajar yang tidak maksimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui : (1) Hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dan tipe TSTS (2) Perbedaan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dan tipe TSTS (3) Aktifitas belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dan tipe TSTS pada standar kompetensi Penggunaan dan Pemeliharaan Alat Ukur di SMK Negeri 2 Kisaran. Metode peneltian yang dipakai kuasi ekperimen dengan populasinya adalah keseluruhan siswa kelas X TKR SMKN 2 Kisaran dan sampel penelitian ditentukan dengan teknik random sampling yaitu kelas TKR 1 yang diajarkan dengan metode TSTS dan kelas TKR 2 menggunakan metode Jigsaw. Instrument penelitian mengunakan tes hasil belajar dan lembar aktifitas belajar siswa yang dianalisis dengan statistic uji t. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TSTS lebih tinggi, yaitu 75.05 dibandingkan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw, yaitu 74,90. (2) Tidak terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dan Tipe TSTS pada standar kompetensi Penggunaan dan Pemeliharaan Alat Ukur pada siswa Kelas X TKR di SMK Negeri 2 Kisaran. Hal ini dibuktikan dengan hasil uji hipotesis yang diperoleh, yaitu thitung lebih rendah dibandingkan dengan ttable, yaitu 0,08041 < 1,669. (3) Aktifitas belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dan Tipe TSTS mengalami peningkatan keaktifan pada setiap pertemuan. Peningkatan aktivitas belajar pada kelas TSTS sebesar 23,92% dan pada kelas Jigsaw sebesar 26,15% . Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Jigsaw dan TSTS ini dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dan meningkatkan keaktifan siswa dalam proses belajar mengajar. Walaupun hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan kedua tipe ini tidak memiliki perbedaan.
