Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar pengawetan bahan nabati yang diajarkan dengan metode kerja kelompok menggunakan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) dan metode picture and picture pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Sipispis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian eksperimental semu (quasi eksperiment) dengan menggunakan tes objektif sebagai alat untuk mendapatkan data penelitian, pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan tes yang diberikan kepada siswa diawal dan diakhir penelitian. Dengan demikian akan terlihat bagaimana perbedaan hasil belajar pengawetan bahan nabati dengan dua metode pembelajaran yang berbeda. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Sipispis dengan jumlah siswa seluruhnya sebanyak 75 orang. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive random sampling (sampel bertujuan) yakni diambil dari dua kelas yaitu kelas IX1 disebut kelompok X1 sebanyak 21 siswa dengan metode kerja kelompok menggunakan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) dan kelas IX3 disebut kelompok X2 sebanyak 27 siswa dengan metode picture and picture. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian uji persyaratan data, baik data hasil belajar siswa pada kelompok X1 dan kelompok X2 dinyatakan berdistribusi normal dan memiliki varians yang seragam (homogen). Sementara berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian, terlihat adanya perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara kelompok X1 dan kelompok X2, dimana rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelompok X1 sebesar 78,4 sedangkan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelompok kelompok X2 sebesar 61,5. Adanya perbedaan hasil belajar tersebut, juga terbukti melalui pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji t’ pihak kanan dengan taraf signifikansi 5%, dimana thitung > ttabel yaitu 13,97 > 1,67 hal ini berarti bahwa terima Ha yang artinya terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar pengawetan bahan nabati yang diajarkan dengan metode kerja kelompok menggunakan lembar kerja siswa (LKS) dan metode picture and picture pada siswa kelas IX SMP Negeri 1 Sipispis.
