Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa melalui model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) pada materi ruang tiga dimensi di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Barus T.A. 2015/2016. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di kelas X-1 SMA Negeri 1 Barus pada semester genap tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X-1 SMA Negeri 1 Barus yang berjumlah 31 orang sedangkan objek dalam penelitian ini adalah penerapan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada materi ruang tiga dimensi tahun ajaran 2015/2016. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian adalah lembar observasi dan tes hasil belajar. Lembar observasi digunakan untuk melihat proses pembelajaran ketika pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) diterapkan dan tes digunakan untuk melihat hasil belajar siswa pada materi ruang tiga dimensi. Pada siklus I dan siklus II diterapkan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). Setelah pemberian tes hasil belajar I pada siklus I diperoleh 23 siswa (74,19%) dari 31 siswa telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar (nilainya  65) sedangkan 8 siswa (25,81 %) belum tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata siswa 70,29. Pada siklus II, setelah pemberian tes hasil belajar II diperoleh 27 siswa (87,097%) dari 31 siswa yang telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar (nilainya  65) sedangkan 4 siswa (12,903%) belum tuntas dengan nilai rata-rata 80,06. Ini berarti terjadi peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dari siklus I ke siklus II dengan peningkatan persentase ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 12,91 % dan peningkatan nilai rata-rata siswa sebesar 9,77. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian di atas dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. Sehingga guru dapat menerapkan pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) sebagai alternatif dalam pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar matematika siswa
