Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan: (1) Aktivitas belajar siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Alwasliyah 3 Medan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran creative problem solving (CPS). (2) Hasil belajar siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Alwasliyah 3 Medan melalui penerapan model pembelajaran creative problem solving (CPS).Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilakukan dengan dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI IPS 1 SMA Alwasliyah 3 Medan sebanyak 30 siswa dan objek penelitian adalah model pembelajaran creative problem solving (CPS). Instrumen penelitian terdiri dari lembar observasi, test tertulis dan lembar kerja siswa sebagai alat yang digunakan untuk mengevaluasi hasil belajar siswa.Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh bahwa (1) Hasil aktivitas siswa secara klasikal pada siklus I mengalami peningkatan dari 62,32% menjadi 83.16%. (2) Hasil belajar siswa secara individu mengalami peningkatan yakni pada siklus I siswa yang tuntas 60% sedangkan ada siklus II menjadi 86,6%.
