Abstract
Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah minat belajar dan pendapatan orang tua memiliki hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dengan prestasi belajar siswa kelas XI IPS di SMA Negeri 1 Sipahutar Tahun Ajaran 2013/2014.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan minat belajar dan pendapatan orang tua dengan prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Sipahutar Tahun Ajaran 2013/ 2014. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Sipahutar dengan jumlah 107 orang dan sampel dengan jumlah 84 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengukur minat belajar dan pendapatan orang tua berupa angket yang berjumlah 25 soal untuk masing-masing variabel dan studi dukumen (DKN) untuk variabel prestasi belajar. Validitas tes diuji dengan menggunakan teknik korelasi product moment. Reliabilitas tes diuji dengan menggunakan rumus rumus alpha cronbach. Kemudian data dianalisis dengan rumus korelasi berganda. Selanjutnya untuk menguji hipotesis secara simultan digunakan uji F. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji validitas diperoleh dari 25 instrumen variabel minat belajar, semua instrumen dinyatakan valid. Sedangkan untuk variabel pendapatan orang tua diperoleh dari 25 instrumen, semua instrumen dinyatakan valid. Uji reliabilitas dengan menggunakan rumus alpha cronbach diperoleh hasil r_hitung>r_tabel (0,743 > 0,361) untuk variabel minat belajar dan r_hitung>r_tabel (0,750 > 0,361) untuk variabel pendapatan orang tua. Uji korelasi ganda diperoleh hasil 0,739 menunjukkan keeratan hubungan antara variabel minat belajar dan pendapatan orang tua dengan prestasi belajar. Uji hipotesis secara simultan variabel minat belajar dan pendapatan orang tua diperoleh F_hitung>F_tabel (48,640>3,11). Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang positif dan signifikan antara minat belajar dan pendapatan orang tua dengan prestasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran ekonomi kelas XI IPS SMA Negeri 1 Sipahutar Tahun Ajaran 2013/ 2014.
