Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah ada peranan pelaksanaan remedial untuk mencapai ketuntasan belajar kelas X Jurusan Administrasi Perkantoran SMK Negeri 7 Medan? Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui peranan pengajaran remedial terhadap ketuntasan belajar siswa X Jurusan Administrasi Perkantoran SMK Negeri 7 Medan.Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 7 Medan Tahun Pelajaran 2011/2012. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X AP SMK Negeri 7 Medan yang berjumlah 229 siswa yang terdiri dari 6 kelas. Sedangkan sampel dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari siswa yang mengalami pengajaran remedial berjumlah 40 orang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Teknik pengambilan sampel di setiap kelas dengan cara random sampling dengan penyebaran angket berjumlah 40 item. Instrumen atau teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengamatan, wawancara, angket dan studi dokumentasi.Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata – rata secara keseluruhan pada distribusi angket pengajaran remedial sebesar 126 dikatagorikan baik. Untuk mengetahui pengaruh antara variabel X dan variabel Y digunakan rumus regresi linier sederhana dengan koefisien regresi a = 54,92 dan b = 0,155. Dengan demikian diperoleh untuk persamaan regresi linier sederhana adalah Y = 54,92 + 0,155x. Kemudian untuk mengertahui besarnya kontribusi atau sumbangan variabel X dan variabel Y dihitung dengan menggunakan rumus determinasi r2 menurut Karl Pearson, dan hasil dari perhitungan dapat diketahui kontribusi atau sumbangan pengajaran remedial (variabel X) terhadap pencapaian ketuntasan belajar (variabel Y) adalah sebesar 0,59 atau sebesar 59%.Hasil pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan rumus uji – “t” diperoleh harga thitung sebesar 7,43 dan ttabel = 1,684 pada taraf signifikansi dengan dk = n – 2 = 40 – 2 = 38. Sehinggan diketahui bahwa harga thitung > ttabel yaitu 7,43>1,684, dengan kata lain hipotesis diterima. Dari hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada peranan pengajaran remedial terhadap pencapaian ketuntasan belajar siswa SMK Negeri 1 Medan Tahun Pelajaran 2011/2012.
