Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar fisika dan keterampilan proses sains siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran inquiry training dan pembelajaran konvensional pada materi fluida dinamis di SMA Negeri 2 Binjai T.P. 2014/2015.Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi experiment. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI Semester Genap SMA Negeri 2 Binjai yang terdiri dari 9 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling dengan mengambil 2 kelas dari 9 kelas secara acak yaitu kelas XI PMS 2 dan kelas XI PMS 3. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa adalah tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk pilihan berganda dengan jumlah 20 soal dan tes keterampilan proses sains bentuk essay dengan jumlah 20 soal. Kelas eksperimen diberikan perlakuan dengan model pembelajaran inquiry training dan kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional.Hasil pengujian pretes sebelum diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda, yaitu nilai rata-rata pretes kelas eksperimen = 46,47 dengan standar deviasi = 10,34 dan nilai rata-rata pretes kelas kontrol = 38,86 dengan standar deviasi = 10,17. Pada pengujian data pretes kedua kelas diperoleh bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil uji t pretes diperoleh bahwa Ho diterima artinya kemampuan awal siswa pada kedua kelas sama. Kemudian diberikan perlakuan yaitu kelas eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran inquiry training dan kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Selama proses pembelajaran, nilai gain pengamatan keterampilan proses sains siswa adalah 0,62 dengan kategori sedang. Setelah pembelajaran selesai diberikan, diperoleh postes dengan hasil rata-rata kelas eksperimen = 85,44 dengan standar deviasi = 11,89 dan kelas kontrol = 38,86 dengan standar deviasi = 9,63. Dari hasil pengolahan data uji t postes diperoleh bahwa Ha diterima yakni ada perbedaan akibat pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran inquiry training terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Terdapat hubungan antara hasil belajar dan keterampilan proses sains siswa didapat nilai koefisien sebesar 0,730. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa antara hasil belajar dengan keterampilan proses sains siswa memiliki hubungan yang kuat dengan tingkat hubungan yang kuat yang berada di interval 0,60 â€
