Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah menggunakan media peta konsep terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi fluida statis di kelas XI semester II SMA Cerdas Murni T.P 2014/2015.Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan menggunakan two group pretest-postest design. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas XI SMA Cerdas Murni T.P 2014/2015 yang terdiri dari 3 kelas yaitu 118 siswa. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling dengan mengambil 2 kelas yaitu kelas XI-IPA 1 sebagai kelas eksperimen dengan jumlah siswa 39 orang dan kelas XI-IPA 3 sebagai kelas kontrol dengan jumlah siswa 39 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan ada beberapa yakni : 1) lembar hasil belajar, dan 2) lembar observasi aktivitas siswa. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa adalah tes hasil belajar yang berbentuk essay test dengan jumlah 10 soal yang terlebih dahulu divalidasi.Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji t.Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretes kelas eksperimen 38 dengan simpangan baku 12,04 dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol 36 dengan simpangan baku 10,25.Sebelum dilakukan model pembelajaran berbasis masalah menggunakan media peta konsep, kemampuan awal kedua kelompok siswa sama.Setelah model pembelajaran selesai diberikan, diperoleh postes dengan hasil rata-rata kelas eksperimen 84 dengan simpangan baku 7,03 dan kelas kontrol 77,46 dengan simpangan baku 5,6. Data pretes dan postes telah memenuhi uji prasyarat, yaitu uji normalitas dan homogenitas dengan taraf signifikansi α = 0,05, sehingga hasil uji t pretes memiliki kesamaan rata-rata dan uji t postes menyatakan ada perbedaan karena pengaruh model pembelajaran berbasis masalah menggunakan media peta konsep terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi fluida statis di kelas XI semester II SMA Cerdas Murni T.P 2014/2015.Selain berpengaruh terhadap hasil belajar siswa, model pembelajaran berbasis masalah juga meningkatkan aktivitas belajar siswa yang dapat diamati dengan peningkatan aktivitas dari pertemuan pertama sampai pertemuan ketiga.Dari hasil pengamatan yang dilakukan oleh observer, diperoleh bahwa rata-rata peningkatan aktivitas n-gain siswa cukup baik dari pertemuan I ke pertemuan II sebesar 0,49 dengan kategori sedang dan dari pertemuan II ke pertemuan III sebesar 0,72 dengan kategori tinggi.
