Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk : (1) Mengetahui efektivitas lembar kerja siswa yang dikembangkan pada materi peluang melalui Pendekatan Matematika Realistik (PMR) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa (2) Mengetahui respon siswa terhadap lembar kerja siswa yang telah dikembangkan melalui Pendekatan Matematika Realistik (PMR). Penelitian dilakukan di SMK Negeri 4 Medan. (3) Mengetahui bagaimana kesalahan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematis dengan pembelajaran menggunakn LKS matematika realistik. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan. Pengembangan yang dilakukan adalah pengembangan terhadap perangkat melalui model 3-D (Three-D Model) yang dikemukakan Thiagarajan, Semmel dan Semmel dan dimodifikasi sesuai kebutuhan. Model ini meliputi tiga tahapan terdiri dari tahap pendefenisian (define), tahap rancangan (design), dan tahap pengembangan (develop). Uji coba lembar kerja siswa dilakukan sebanyak dua kali Uji coba dan dilakukan pada siswa kelas X SMK Negeri 4 Medan. Pada Uji coba 1, sampel diambil dari kelas X-AV3 sebanyak 25 orang dan setelah diperoleh hasilnya tidak efektif sehingga dilakukan perbaikan maka dilakukan Uji coba kedua. Pada Uji coba 2, sampel diambil dari kelas X-KR5 sebanyak 24 orang. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan beberapa hal berikut: (1) Efektivitas lembar kerja siswa yang dikembangkan melalui pendekatan matematika realistik disimpulkan berdasarkan bahwa : (a) ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 87,5 (b) ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran khusus (TPK) (c) kemampuan guru mengelola pembelajaran sebesar 3,44 dan (d) ketercapaian aktivitas siswa : efektif (e) kesalahan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah terdapat pada tahap menyelesaikan masalah dan memeriksa kembali. (2) Berdasarkan analisis data penelitian, diperoleh gambaran bahwa lembar kerja siswa yang dikembangkan melalui pendekatan matematika realistik dapat meningkatkan kemampuan siswa dalam memecahkan masalah matematis pada pokok bahasan peluang, dimana peningkatan diperoleh setelah Uji coba 2 dilakukan. (3) Respon siswa terhadap lembar kerja siswa yang telah dikembangkan melalui Pendekatan Matematika Realistik (PMR) adalah positif. Sehingga disarankan kepada setiap guru terutama guru matematika agar mampu mengembangkan lembar kerja siswa sendiri yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didiknya.
