Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dan untuk mengetahui ada atau tidaknya respon siswa dan mengetahui bagaimana efektivitas pembelajaran melalui model problem solving di kels VII MTsN Panyabungan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus, dimana tiap siklus terdiri dari 2 pertemuan. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII MTsN Panyabungan tahun ajaran 2014/2015 yang berjumlah 25 orang. Objek penelitian ini adalah pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran problem solving mada materi Aritmatika sosial untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.Instrumen dalam penelitian ini adalah tes hasil belajar, lembar observasi kegiatan guru dan siswa. Pada akhir siklus II instrumen penelitian diberikan angket respon. Dari hasil tes belajar yang diberikan hasil belajar matematika siswa dari setiap tindakan yang diberikan meningkat. Pada tes awal diperoleh bahwa banyaknya siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar yaitu 3 dari 25 orang siswa (12%) dengan rata-rata kelas 49,4 dengan kemampuan sangat rendah. Hasil analisis data pada siklus I setelah dilakukan pembelajaran melalui model problem solving banyaknya siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan belajar adalah 13 dari 25 orang sudah mencapai ketuntasan belajar dengan persentase ketuntasan klasikal 52%. Pada siklus II diperoleh 22orang siswa (88%) dengan rata-rata kelas 85,24 dan mencapai kemampuan tinggi. Berdasarkan kriteria ketuntasan belajar klasikal yaitu minimal 85% dari jumlah siswa, maka daya serap nilai hasil belajar siswa telah mencapai nilai rata-rata minimal 65. Maka dari hasil belajar siswa melalui model pembelajaran problem solving pada tiap siklus meningkat dan telah mencapai target ketuntasan belajar klasikal yang diharapkan. Untuk respon siswa berada pada kategori baik dengan rata-rata 51 (85%). Berdasarkan respon terhadap semua indikator, pada tiap indikator diperoleh bahwa indikator I, III, IV dan V berada pada kategori baik dan pada indikator II berada pada kategori cukup.Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran problem solving khususnya mada materi aritmatika sosial di kelas VII MTsN Panyabungan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa.
