Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran Inquiry Training dan pembelajaran konvensional, aktivitas siswa selama mengikuti proses pembelajaran Inquiry Training pada materi Besaran dan Satuan di kelas X IPA SMA Negeri 7 Medan T.P 2014/2015Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah seluruh siswa kelas X IPA Semester I SMA Negeri 7 Medan yang terdiri dari 5 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster random sampling dengan mengambil 2 kelas dari 5 kelas secara acak yaitu kelas X-5 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X-1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimen berjumlah 40 orang dan kelas kontrol berjumlah 40 orang. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa adalah tes hasil belajar dalam bentuk pilihan berganda dengan jumlah 15 soal. Sebelum tes ini di ujikan kepada siswa, maka terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji prasyarat tes. Aktivitas siswa dengan menggunakan lembar observasi yang dilakukan oleh observer. Berdasarkan analisa data, nilai rata-rata pretes kelas eksperimen 33,43 dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol 34,50 Pada pengujian normalitas untuk pretes pada kelas eksperimen Lhitung = 0.1123 dan Ltabel = 0.1400, untuk kelas kontrol Lhitung = 0.1018, dan Ltabel = 0.1400 sehingga Lhitung <Ltabel, maka data kedua kelas berdistribusi normal. Kemudian diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda, kelas eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran Inquiry Training dan kelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Setelah dilakukan perlakuan pada masing-masing kelas, nilai rata-rata postes kelas eksperimen 70,50 dan kelas kontrol 61,50. Pada kelas eksperimen peningkatan hasil belajar sebesar 36,17 dan pada kelas kontrol hasil belajar sebesar 27,00. Ini membuktikan adanya pengaruh model pembelajaran menggunakan inquiry training pada kelas eksperimen. Rata-rata nilai keseluruhan aktivitas belajar siswa adalah 72,14 termasuk dalam kriteria aktif. Hasil uji t diperoleh thitung = 3,09 dan ttabel = 1,99 sehingga thitung> ttabel maka Ha diterima, yang berarti dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa dengan model pembelajaran Inquiry Training dan pembelajaran konvensional pada materi Besaran dan Satuan
