Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui apakah aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa meningkat dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe numbered heads together pada materi bangun ruang sisi lengkung di kelas IX SMP Negeri HKBP Sidorame Medan T.A.2014/2015. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 26 siswa kelas IX-2 SMP HKBP Sidorame Medan dan objek penelitian ini adalah upaya meningkatkan aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe numbered heads together. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah observasi dan tes. Pada pemberian tindakan siklus I diperoleh bahwa kategori proses pembelajaran kooperatif tipe NHT pada materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Lengkung termasuk baik. Rata-rata hasil pengamatan sebesar 2,6 dan pada siklus II diperoleh rata-rata hasil pengamatan sebesar 2,97. Pada pemberian tindakan pada siklus I dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe numbered heads together melalui pemberian tes hasil belajar I diperoleh 16 siswa (61,54%) dari 26 siswa telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar (nilainya 65) sedangkan 10 siswa (38,46 %) belum tuntas. Setelah tindakan II, melalui pemberian tes hasil belajar II diperoleh 23 siswa (88,46%) dari 26 siswa yang telah mencapai ketuntasan belajar (nilainya 65) sedangkan 3 siswa (11,54%) belum tuntas. Terjadi peningkatan persentase ketuntasan klasikal sebesar 26,92%. Berdasarkan kriteria ketuntasan klasikal maka persentase ketuntasan ini sudah memenuhi. Pada pemberian tindakan pada siklus I, persentase rata-rata pencapaian waktu ideal aktivitas aktif sebesar 69,53%. Setelah diberi tindakan pada siklus II diperoleh data rata - rata persentase menjadi 78,125% dimana setiap aspek aktivitas aktif telah tercapai. Terjadi peningkatan persentase pencapaian waktu ideal aktivitas aktif sebesar 8,595%. Berdasarkan kriteria waktu ideal aktivitas belajar maka pembelajaran ini telah mencapai target dan mengalami peningkatan. Berdasarkan uraian di atas disimpulkan bahwa aktivitas dan hasil belajar siswa meningkat dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe numbered heads together pada pokok bahasan Bangun Ruang Sisi Lengkung di kelas IX SMP Swasta HKBP Sidorame Medan T.A 2014/2015.
