Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar siswayang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student TeamsAchievement Divisions (STAD) dan pembelajaran konvensional, aktivitas siswaselama mengikuti proses pembelajaran kooperatif tipe STAD pada materi ListrikDinamis di kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Selatan T.P 2013/2014Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen. Populasi dalam penelitianadalah seluruh siswa kelas X Semester II SMA Negeri 1 Rantau Selatan yangterdiri dari 10 kelas. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara cluster randomsampling dengan mengambil 2 kelas dari 10 kelas secara acak yaitu kelas X-2sebagai kelas eksperimen dan kelas X-1 sebagai kelas kontrol. Kelas eksperimenberjumlah 40 orang dan kelas kontrol berjumlah 40 orang. Instrumen yangdigunakan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa adalah tes hasil belajar dalambentuk pilihan berganda dengan jumlah 15 soal.Hasil pengujian pretes sebelum diberikan perlakuan yang berbeda, nilairata-rata pretes kelas eksperimen 34,3 dan nilai rata-rata kelas kontrol 35,5 Padapengujian normalitas untuk pretes pada kelas eksperimen Lhitung = 0.1123 danLtabel = 0.1400, untuk kelas kontrol Lhitung = 0.1018, dan Ltabel = 0.1400 sehinggaLhitung <Ltabel, maka data kedua kelas berdistribusi normal. Kemudian diberikanperlakuan yang berbeda, kelas eksperimen dengan model pembelajaran STAD dankelas kontrol dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Setelah dilakukan perlakuanpada masing-masing kelas, nilai rata-rata postes kelas eksperimen 70,5 dan kelaskontrol 61,5. Rata-rata nilai keseluruhan aktivitas belajar siswa adalah 65,08termasuk dalam kriteria aktif. Hasil uji t diperoleh thitung = 3,09 dan ttabel = 1,99sehingga thitung> ttabel maka Ha diterima, yang berarti dapat disimpulkan bahwa adapengaruh yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa dengan model pembelajaranSTAD dan pembelajaran konvensional pada materi listrik dinamis
