Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran Numbered Heads Together berbantu media peta konsep terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII semester I pada materi pokok zat dan wujudnya kelas VII Semester I SMP N 6 Kisaran T.P. 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah quasi eksperimen dengan desain two group pre–test dan post–test. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 6 Kisaran yang terdiri dari 5 kelas. Sampel penelitian diambil 2 kelas, yaitu kelas VII1 sebagai kelas eksperimen, dan kelas VII2 sebagai kelas kontrol masing-masing kelas berjumlah 30 siswa. Instrumen digunakan adalah tes hasil belajar dan lembar observasi yang berbentuk pilihan berganda sebanyak 20 soal yang telah divalidasikan. Uji Hipotesis menggunakan uji t dua pihak dan uji t satu pihak. Dari data penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretes kelas eksperimen sebesar 37,25 dengan standar deviasi adalah 7,24 dan nilai rata–rata kelas kontrol sebesar 36,63 dengan standar deviasi adalah 7,79. Pada pengujian Normalitas kelas eksperimen diperoleh Lhitung < Ltabel = 0,1270 < 0,1401, untuk kelas kontrol diperoleh Lhitung < Ltabel = 0,1332 < 0,1401, maka data kedua kelas berdistribusi normal. Pada uji homogenitas diperoleh Fhitung < Ftabel = 1,208 < 1,750 sehingga maka kedua sampel berasal dari kelompok yang homogen. Untuk hasil analisis data dari uji beda diperoleh thitung = 0,369 < ttabel = 1,991 H0 diterima, berarti bahwa kedua kelas memiliki kemampuan awal yang sama. Setelah pembelajaran selesai diperoleh nilai rata-rata postes kelas eksperimen sebesar 72,50 dengan stadar deviasi adalah 12,40 dan kelas kontrol sebesar 60,63 dengan standar deviasi adalah 11,28. Pada uji normalitas kelas eksperimen untuk postes diperoleh Lhitung < Ltabel = 0,1062 < 0,1410 maka kels berdistribusi normal. Pada uji homogenitas data postes kedua sampel diperoleh Fhitung < Ftabel = 1,208 < 1,750 maka kedua sampel berasal dari kelompok yang homogen. Hasil uji t diperoleh thitung > ttabel = 4,479 > 1,666, sehingga Ha diterima. Dari hasil pengamatan yang dilakukan oleh observer diperoleh bahwa aktivitas siswa di kelas eksperimen mengalami peningkatan yang positif. Pada pertemuan I rata-rata aktivitas siswa adalah 58,75, pertemuan II adalah 70,37, dan pertemuan III adalah 84,00. Dari hasil uji t ada pengaruh menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Numbered Heads Together berbantu media peta konsep terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok zat dan wujudnya kelas VII Semester I SMP N 6 Kisaran T.P. 2013/2014.
