Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar menggunakan model Think Pair and Share (TPS) dengan Mind Mapping Pada Materi Gerak Pada Tumbuhan Di Kelas VIII SMP Swasta Asuhan Jaya Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2013/2014. Jenis penelitian ini adalah eksperimen. Sampel diambil secara purposif sampling (sampling bertujuan) dan sampel yang dipilih 2 kelas yang relative homongen, sampel untuk kelas eksperimen I (VIII1) dan kelas eksperimen II (VIII2). Dari hasil uji persyaratan data diketahui bahwa pre-tes kelas eksperimen I Think Pair and Share (TPS) (38,19 ± 18,25) dan pre-tes kelas eksperimen II Mind mapping (41,11 ± 16,73). Sedangkan pos-tes kelas eksperimen I Think Pair and Share (TPS) (67,92 ± 17,13) dan pos-tes kelas eksperimen II Mind mapping l (55,83 ± 18,25). Untuk teknik analisis data diperoleh thit = 4,41 dan ttabel = 1,99. Dimana thitung>ttabel (4,41>1,99), yang berarti dalam penelitian ini H0 ditolak sekaligus menerima Ha. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada perbedaan hasil belajar siswa menggunakan model Think Pair and Share (TPS) dengan model Mind Mapping pada materi gerak pada tumbuhan di kelas VIII SMP Swasta Asuhan Jaya Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2013/2014.
