Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation dengan tipe Student Teams Achievement Division di kelas X SMA Josua Medan pada materi pokok pencemaran lingkungan Tahun Pembelajaran 2012/2013. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dan di desain dengan dilakukannya pre-tes dan post-tes. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa di kelas X SMA Josua Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2012/2013 yang terdiri dari 3 kelas. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah cluster random sampling. Dimana kelas X-3 sebanyak 30 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen I yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation dan kelas X-1 sebanyak 30 siswa sebagai kelas eksperimen II yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data berupa tes tertulis berbentuk pilihan ganda. Sebelum soal diberikan kepada siswa, terlebih dahulu dilakukan uji validitas, uji realibilitas, daya beda soal, dan tingkat kesukaran soal dengan rtabel = 0,291 dan taraf signifikan  = 0,05.Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian, diperoleh skor rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation sebesar X ̅ = 24,2 (dengan nilai 80,667); ± SD = 2,14, sedangkan skor rata-rata hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division sebesar X ̅ = 22,933 (dengan nilai 76,443); ± SD = 2,05. Uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji t terlihat thitung = 2,346 sedangkan ttabel = 2,0021 pada taraf signifikan α = 0,05, menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar siswa yang diajarkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation dan tipe Student Teams Achievement Division. Dengan demikian dapat diambil kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Group Investigation lebih baik dan efektif dalam mengajarkan materi pencemaran lingkungan di kelas X SMA Josua Medan Tahun Pembelajaran 2012/2013 dibandingkan dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division.
