Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa dalam penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry training menggunakan powerpoint dan model pembelajaran langsung dan untuk mengetahui adakah pengaruh hasil belajar siswa dalam penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry training menggunakan powerpoint,serta untuk mengetahui aktivitas siswa dalam penerapan model pembelajaran inquiry training menggunakan powerpoint pada materi pokok listrik dinamis di SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa kelas X semester II Tahun Ajaran 2012/2013. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa yang terdiri dari 6 kelas. Sampel penelitian ini ada 2 kelas yaitukelas X2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan X3 sebagai kelas kontrol yang masing- masing terdiri dari 40 orang siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel digunakan secara cluster random sampling. Alat pengumpul data dalam penelitian ini digunakan tes pilihan berganda. Hasil penelitian diperoleh rata-rata nilai pretes kelas eksperimen 30,88 padakelas kontrol 29,25. Kedua kelas berdistribusi normal dan homogen, dan hasil uji kemampuan awal siswa diperoleh hit t = 0,46, pada taraf nyata &#945; = 0,05 diperoleh tab t= 1,99 ( hitung t < tabel t ) yang berarti Ho diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan kemampuan awal siswa pada kelas eksperimen sama dengan kemampuan awal siswa pada kelas kontrol. Aktivitas siswa pada pertemuan pertama tergolong kategori kurang aktif (58,33%), pertemuan kedua tergolong kategori cukup aktif (68,64%) danpada pertemuan ketiga tergolong pada kategori aktif (75,31%). Setelah pembelajaran selesai di berikan, diperoleh rata-rata nilai postest kelas eksperimen 71,50 dan kelas kontrol 61,75. Kedua kelas menunjukkan berdistribusi normal dan homogen, hasil uji hipotesis diperoleh hitung t = 4,41, taraf nyata &#945; = 0,05 diperoleh tabel t = 1,666 ( hitung t >tabel t ) yang berarti Ha diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh model pembelajaran inquiry training menggunakan powerpoint terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi pokok listrik dinamis di SMA kelas X semester II SMA Negeri 1 Tanjung Morawa T.P 2012/2013.
