Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat apakah hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think-Pair-Share dengan alat peraga lebih tinggi daripada hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think-Pair-Share tanpa alat peraga di kelas VII semester I SMP N 34 Medan pada sub pokok bahasan penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat.Dalam penelitian ini yang menjadi populasi adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII di SMP Negeri 34 Medan dan yang menjadi sampel penelitian adalah kelas VII-B sebagai kelas yang diterapkan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think-Pair-Share dengan alat peraga dan kelas VII-A sebagai kelas yang diterapkan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Think-Pair-Share tanpa alat peraga dengan masing-masing jumlah sampel 40 orang. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan tes pilihan ganda yang telah valid dan reliabel sebanyak 10 soal.Nilai rata-rata hasil tes awal kelas eksperimen adalah 31,5 dengan nilai tertinggi 50 dan nilai terendah 10. Nilai rata-rata hasil tes awal kelas kontrol adalah 30,00 dengan nilai tertinggi 50 dan nilai terendah 10. Dari hasil analisis data pretes kelas eksperimen diperoleh =0,1398 < =0,1401 dan data pretes kelas kontrol diperoleh =0,1264 < =0,1401, sehingga disimpulkan data pretes kedua kelas adalah normal. Dari uji homogenitas data pretes adalah homogen karena kedua varians =1,05 < =1,71. Disimpulkan bahwa tidak ada perbedaan kemampuan awal pada kedua kelas sampel dimana kedua kelas termasuk kelas yang homogen atau memiliki kesamaan varians.Nilai rata-rata hasil postes pada kelas eksperimen adalah 65,3 dengan nilai tertinggi 90 dan nilai terendah 40. Nilai rata-rata hasil postes pada kelas kontrol adalah 55,3 dengan nilai tertinggi 90 dan nilai terendah 30. Dari hasil analisis data postes kelas eksperiemn diperoleh =0,1382 < =0,1401 dan data postes kelas kontrol diperoleh =0,1245 < =0,1401, sehingga disimpulkan data postes kedua kelas adalah normal. Dari uji homogenitas data postes adalah homogen karena kedua varians =1,18 < =1,71. Kemudian uji hipotesis data postes kedua sampel diperoleh =3,881 > =0,1667, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa Ha diterima yang artinya hasil belajar siswa yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe think-pair-share dengan alat peraga lebih tinggi dari hasil belajar yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran kooperatiftipe think-pair-share tanpa alat peraga pada sub pokok bahasan penjumlahan dan pengurangan bilangan bulat di SMP N 34 Medan.
