Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui terdapat atau tidaknya pengaruh model pembelajaran (model pembelajaran generatif dan model pembelajaran konvensional) dan keterampilan proses sains terhadap hasil belajar siswa pada materi sub pokok gaya. Subjek penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII SMP Negeri 2 Pahae Julu pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2012/2013 yang terdiri dari dua kelas, yaitu kelas VIII-A sebagai kelas yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran generatif, dan kelas VIII-B sebagai kelas yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran konvensional. Pemilihan kelas ini dilakukan secara purpossive. Masing-masing kelas dipilah menjadi dua kelompok berdasarkan keterampilan proses sains siswa, yaitu kelompok keterampilan proses sains rendah dan kelompok keterampilan proses sains tinggi. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa tes objektif sebanyak 20 soal, tes keterampilan proses sains yang diadaptasi dariSurvey Instrument for Integrated Science Process dan Test of Basic and Integrated Process Skills 30 soal. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretes kelas eksperimen 41,29, dan nilai rata-rata pretes kelas kontrol 40,89. Setelah dilakukan proses pembelajaran dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran generatif maka diperoleh hasil belajar siswa dengan rata-rata 72,96, sedangkan kelas kontrol 64,64. Pada pengujian normalitas diperoleh pada kelas eksperimen dengan Lhitung = 0,0856 dan Ltabel = 0,168, untuk kelas kontrol dengan Lhitung = 0,0953 dan Ltabel = 0,165, sehingga diperoleh Lhitung< Ltabel, maka data dua kelas berdistribusi normal. Pada uji homogenitas diperoleh Fhitung = 1,01 dan Ftabel = 1,72, sehingga Fhitung< Ftabel, maka kedua kelompok sampel berasal dari populasi yang homogen. Pada uji Bartlet dari hasil postes keempat kelompok dengan dk = 3 pada taraf signifikansi &#945; = 0,01, diperoleh &#967;2hitung = 0,2233 dan &#967;2tabel = 11,3, maka &#967;2hitung< &#967;2tabel berarti data postes keempat kelompok homogen. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) terdapat perbedaaan hasil belajar siswa pada materi sub pokok gaya yang diajar dengan model pembelajaran generatif dengan siswa yang diajar denganmodel pembelajaran konvensional (FA = 8,5>Ftabel = 4,07), (2) terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar fisika antara siswa yang memiliki keterampilan proses sains tinggi dengan siswa yang memiliki keterampilan proses sains rendah (FB = 17,83> Ftabel = 4,07), (3) tidak terdapat interaksi yang signifikan antara keterampilan proses sainsdengan model pembelajaran (FAB = 0,21< Ftabel = 4,07
